Post an anonymous comment with information regarding clerkship interviews, hirings, vacancies, and the like, regarding the U.S. Magistrate and Bankruptcy Court Judges of New York.
Maybe the reasdon there are no posts here is because there is no such thing as a federal "magistrate court." Magistrate judges are judges in U.S. district courts.
Though some SDNY judges hire as early as May or June, it seems a lot of Magistrate Judges in this district do not. I would be careful with applying early to this group, as I got an extremely irate email from one judge (Lisa Smith) and a kinder, but gently admonishing one from another (Theodore Katz).

ReplyDeleteYes, Gerber has hired both of his clerks, but I sense that most other judges are somewhat behind
ReplyDeleteNinfo didn't review until WAY later in the season and did interviews in December/January for his 2008 hire.
