  1. Maybe the reasdon there are no posts here is because there is no such thing as a federal "magistrate court." Magistrate judges are judges in U.S. district courts.

  8. Yes, Gerber has hired both of his clerks, but I sense that most other judges are somewhat behind

  9. Ninfo didn't review until WAY later in the season and did interviews in December/January for his 2008 hire.

  13. Though some SDNY judges hire as early as May or June, it seems a lot of Magistrate Judges in this district do not. I would be careful with applying early to this group, as I got an extremely irate email from one judge (Lisa Smith) and a kinder, but gently admonishing one from another (Theodore Katz).
