2009-10 Clerkship Season
27 comments:
Shepherd is currently interviewing 3Ls for 09-10.
Bright is done for 09-10.
Does anyone know if Judge Beam follows the hiring plan?
Beam followed the plan the last two years. I suspect he will again. Very cool judge, BTW.
Judge Beam does follow the hiring plan; and I don't think he rushes his interviews and hiring decisions as much as some other judges.
Anyone who interviewed with Shepherd hear anything yet?
Judge Beam is not following the hiring plan this year, and is currently scheduling and conducting interviews. He is also still accepting applications.
Just called Shepherd's office: not accepting any more applications for 09-10.
Bowman has no positions open.
M. Smith is interviewing grads the week of the 21st and hopes to make decisions by the end of july.
please disregard previous post on Judge M. Smith...meant for the 9th Cir. blog! Sorry!
Anyone know about Murphy?
Is Bowman hiring this year?
Any word on Colloton's 2008 spot? Thanks.
I think Koz has one spot left for 09-10.
Oops. Please ignore the post above about Koz.
Shephard is done
I got a letter about two weeks ago from Arnold stating that he would consider my application when he began the hiring process for 09-10 clerks.
Does anyone know if:
1) Everyone gets these letters?
2) When Arnold typically begins reviewing grad applications
For those who don't know, Magill has been inactive since 2007 (even though his name still shows up in OSCAR). So, obviously, he doesn't hire clerks anymore.
Judge Ripple's OSCAR posting says he follows the plan, so he must be interviewing only grads.
Please disregard above comment re: Judge Ripple--intended for 7th Cir. link.
Shepherd has finished hiring for 09-10.
Anyone know anything about Judge Benton?
Last year I don't think Benton interviewed any grads early. He waited until he was allowed to interview 3Ls (pursuant to the plan) and did all of his interviews then. In fact, I don't know for sure whether he interviewed any grads at all.
I'm a grad and I received an e-mail rejection from Judge Arnold today.
Has anyone heard from Judge Smith in Little Rock?
Does anyone know anything about Judge Gibson? Does he follow the plan? Has he hired anyone?
Anyone know who Arnold hired?
